Government of Canada announces $4.2 million in funding to strengthen abortion access

On May 9th, the Government of Canada announced more than $4.2 million in funding to strengthen access to abortion in Canada. Among the funded is the University of British Columbia (UBC) Contraception and Abortion Research Team (CART).

UBC-CART will receive $3.8 million in funding to address barriers to abortion access and information among underserved populations in Canada. Congratulations to WHRI Member and UBC Researcher Dr. Wendy V. Norman and her team for leading this important work.
