Biography:
I am currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Paris 8, France. My postdoc project explores life writing as an arts-based research methodology, as in: creative non-fiction, memoir, autobiographical writing and art making, alongside the oeuvre of the feminist, poet-thinker Hélène Cixous. My research is informed by my advocacy and working background in Canadian midwifery. My writing, art and research explores themes of mothering, birth, midwifery, women-centred education, health and spirituality, and artistic practices.
