Call for posters: Women’s Health Research Symposium

The Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) is now accepting submissions for the poster session that will take place at the Eighth Annual Women’s Health Research Symposium on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre at UBC.

Posters will be presented in-person at the event venue and poster topics must focus on current women’s or newborn health research. Posters can be ‘repurposed’ from previous conferences or presentations within the last several years. This call is open to researchers and trainees.

  • Location: Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre at UBC (Jack Poole Hall)

Submissions are due Friday, March 3, 2023. Submissions can take the form of an abstract (see guidelines below) or an image of the poster (if previously presented).

Abstract Guidelines: Abstract should not exceed 400 words. Please organize your abstract according to the following categories: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions.

The Eighth Annual Women’s Health Research Symposium will feature presentations that will centre on advancing women’s mental health through research.

The poster session will take place at the end of the main program (from 12:00pm to 1:00pm) during the networking lunch break and before the Mentorship and Trainee workshop. This poster session will follow a traditional/passive poster presentation style and presenters should be available to provide detail and answer questions about their poster.
