The WHRI will be hosting an IN-PERSON Mentorship & Networking event called “Hopes, Dreams, and Nightmares” on March 9th from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
This is an occasion for trainees to participate in small group discussions & networking opportunities with a diverse group of mentors. The event is being hosted as part of the 7th Annual Women’s Health Research Symposium.
Trainees will have the opportunity to choose two break-out sessions with mentors covering select topics:
- Research pathways for clinician-scientists;
- Transitioning from grad student to postdoc to the tenure-track;
- PhD to public service;
- Gender biases in publication and how to overcome them;
- PhD to provincial, national and international women’s health research knowledge mobilization;
- What good mentorship looks like;
- Frustrations, fears, and failures
Trainees can register for this event through the Symposium link. An email will be sent to registrants confirming the topics they are most interested in speaking to a mentor and other trainees about.
