Biography:

Yinhan (Hattie) Luo, Bsc, is a PhD candidate in the department of Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She received her BSc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with First Class Distinction from Simon Fraser University in 2021. Luo’s research focuses on sex-specific cardiac disease modeling and drug screening using hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and engineered heart tissue models, with emphasis on the effects of sex hormones on cardiac health.
