Biography:

Talia Papa is a Master of Public Health student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include patients’ experiences with hereditary cancer, women’s health, cancer prevention, and improving equitable access to genetic testing. Her interest in hereditary cancer research is informed in part by personal experience, which has shaped her commitment to utilizing a patient-centred and equitable approach. She is currently completing her thesis research, which explores routine cervical cancer screening as an opportunity to expand access to genetic testing for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
