Ghahari, Sara
Biography:
Dr. Sara Ghahari is a medical doctor with a growing research focus in women’s health, menstrual cycle physiology, and ovulatory disorders. After completing her MD at Iran University of Medical Sciences, she gained clinical experience in primary care and women’s health before relocating to British Columbia.
She is currently a volunteer researcher with the Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research (CeMCOR) at the University of British Columbia, where she contributes to the Midcycle Pain and Menstrual Cramps Prospective Ovulation Cohort Study.
Her research interests include improving clinical recognition of menstrual health concerns and strengthening evidence-based approaches to symptom management. Dr. Ghahari is committed to advancing women’s health research and promoting a more accurate, individualized, and inclusive understanding of women’s health across the lifespan within both scientific inquiry and clinical practice.
