Biography:

Nadine Lusney, Bachelor of Nursing Science ’07 (Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario), Perinatal and Neonatal Critical Care Certificate ’08 (George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario), Masters of Nursing ’14 (University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia). Nadine worked as a neonatal critical care nurse for the first seven years of her career before completing her masters. Her thesis research focused on Stories’ of Early Experiences in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from Parents Whose Infants were born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, a narrative inquiry study. She has been working in Pediatric Palliative Care at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Vancouver, British Columbia since 2014 in various Advance Practice Nursing roles. She completed her Canadian Nurses Association Hospice Palliative Care Nursing Certification in 2018. Her current research interests focus on pediatric advance care planning, serious illness conversations and family engagement
