Biography:

 

Dr. Myrthe Stalmans obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences focused on the effects of exogenous ketosis on physiological adaptation to rest and exercise in hypoxia in the Exercise Physiology Research Group at KU Leuven (Belgium). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences, in the Faculty of Medicine at University of British Columbia (Canada), where she evaluates cerebrovascular function in health and disease. Her main project focuses on survivors of intimate partner violence, where she is committed to advancing our understanding of different types of brain injury.
