Dyck, Megan
Biography:
I am a graduate student in the lab of Dr. Brad Nelson at the University of Victoria and BC Cancer Victoria. My research focusses on the immune response to ovarian cancer and we are specifically interested in leveraging a system of blood proteins called complement to improve outcomes in this disease. I am passionate about women’s health and other initiatives. I’ve played women’s hockey throughout my life and was lucky to compete at the USPORT level during my undergraduate degree. Now, I coach youth female hockey and serve as a role model for young female athletes.
