Biography:

Maya holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University (2016), with a focus on photography, creative writing, and English literature. She is currently completing a Master of Public Health at Simon Fraser University, where her thesis examines community and peer-based care networks for breast/chestfeeding in Vancouver. She joined the SHAPE hub in 2025, but has long been committed to sexual and reproductive healthcare with a strong belief in improving access to information that supports and empowers women and gender-diverse people.
