Biography:

 

Dr. Maryse Larouche joined the Department of OBGYN at UBC, as a Urogynecologist in 2025. She completed medical school and Obstetrics & Gynaecology Residency at McGill University. She then pursued additional training in Urogynaecology / Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at UBC, as well as a Masters of Public Health degree, at the University of California, Berkeley, CA. Dr. Larouche previously practiced as an OBGYN and Urogynecologist in Montreal, QC, and was Academic Director of the Division of Urogynecology at McGill University for 6 years. Dr. Larouche is actively involved in urogynecology and gynecology national societies, in urogynecology research & teaching, as well as in national and international practice guidelines development. Her main research interests involve improvement and standardization of surgical techniques for apical pelvic organ prolapse repair as well as development and implementation of patient decision aids for female urinary incontinence.
