Biography:

I am currently an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and have spent the last two years living in Germany at an international boarding school. Interacting with, living and learning alongside women from over 90 different nationalities has informed and inspired my desire to pursue a career in women’s health. As a full time student, I also work part time with UBC CPD under the Faculty of Medicine, primarily performing data processing and producing post-conference evaluations. This summer I look forward to working alongside Dr. Marianne Vidler and post-doctoral fellow Maggie Woo Kinshella at the BC Children and Women’s Campus. I will be working on a research project aimed at assessing the cumulative incidence and factors associated with hospital readmission and severe maternal morbidity after delivery discharge in British Columbia.
