Biography:

I am an undergraduate psychology student from Colombia with a strong interest in health psychology, research, and women’s wellbeing. I am currently joining the University of British Columbia as a visiting research intern, where I will be working with Dr. Lori Brotto’s team on projects related to eHealth interventions.

My academic background has allowed me to develop a solid foundation in psychological theory and research methods. I am especially motivated by the application of psychological knowledge to improve quality of life, promote mental health, and address gender-specific health needs.

I am deeply interested in working with women’s health, particularly in areas that integrate psychological and physical wellbeing. I value culturally sensitive approaches and aim to contribute to making evidence-based interventions accessible to diverse populations, including Spanish-speaking communities.

Through this internship, I hope to strengthen my research skills, gain experience in the development and adaptation of psychological interventions, and contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects. I am enthusiastic about learning from interdisciplinary teams and engaging in professional development opportunities that support my growth as a future researcher and clinician in health psychology.
