Biography:

 

My name is Juliana Montoya and I am a second year PhD student that is passionate about understanding how the brain’s immune cells microglia are invovled in neurodegenerative conditions. Since some of these conditions have higher rates in women (such as Alzheimers disease) it is incredibly important that we focus on why this difference might be and how we can treat it.
