Biography:
As a laboratory physician, my practice often involves examining placentas and products of conceptions to determine health outcomes for the newborn or mother. I have a particular interest in quality improvement and am working on synoptic placental reporting. I also perform autopsy examinations in stillborns and neonatal deaths. I, like my colleagues, feel it is a privilege to be these patients’ last physicians. Through this work, we hope to understand pathophysiologic processes to further reduce stillbirth incidence.
