Biography:

 

Joha Abdallah holds a Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Community Health, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from Uganda, a Master of Medical Science (MMSci) in Medical Radionuclide Techniques from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health from the University of Suffolk, United Kingdom.
Clinical experience spans work in General Medicine, Surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, HIV/AIDS, and community health, where she developed a strong interest in improving women’s health outcomes through evidence-based clinical practice. Pre-clinical research in radiotracer development for PET imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy for cancers. Research interests include general women’s health, molecular imaging, targeted radionuclide therapy, cancer prevention, health equity, and improving equitable access to healthcare for underserved & vulnerable women. Combining clinical, laboratory, and public health expertise, Joha is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research that translates scientific evidence into improved health outcomes. Looking forward to collaborating with researchers across British Columbia to advance innovative research that improves the health and well-being of women and newborns.
