Dr. Esther Alonso-Prieto
Biography:
Esther Alonso holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and Neuroscience with additional post-graduate studies in Ethics and Adult Education. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in conducting clinical research studies, ranging from investigator-initiated to industry-sponsored, international trials, in areas such as Neuroscience, Psychiatry, Neurology and Neonatology. She has also developed expertise in Research Ethics and, more recently, in Clinical Ethics. She currently works at Northern Health Authority as the Lead of the Clinical and Research Ethics Services. She has a keen interest in the ethics of scientific knowledge production and provision of clinical care.
