Biography:

Aysan Dehghani is a researcher at the University of British Columbia and the student coordinator of IWASHRA’s Community Compass, a project exploring immigrant women’s access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in British Columbia. Her research focuses on identifying barriers newcomer women face in navigating healthcare systems and developing community-driven solutions. Currently, she is also a trainee under the HER-BC study at the Women’s Health Research Institute.

She has collaborated with organizations such as MAP, Volentia Translation, and Solid State Coop to engage community members in journey mapping workshops, documenting healthcare experiences to inform policy recommendations.
