Shack, Avram
Biography:
Dr. Shack is a clinical fellow in the Division of Neonatology, with a broad training background including graduate studies in the social sciences, global health, and hospital and community pediatrics. As a clinical fellow in the BC Women’s NICU he has been an active contributor to quality improvement and research initiatives, with a particular focus on multidispclinary bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) prevention and management. As a Hudson family trainee he will be cross-posted with the division of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine and engage in research on risk factors for BPD, and integration of novel devices to monitor infant lugs.

Respiratory outcomes in extremely preterm infants, including prevention and management of bronchopulmonary dysplasia; implementation science and multidisciplinary quality improvement in neonatal intensive care; clinical implementation of novel medical devices; palliative and complex care; medical education
