A video developed by Kaiya Jacob and Dr. Sarah Munro of the Reproductive Choices Lab entitled How to Ask for an Abortion is part of national competition! The video, produced through the CART-Access project with funding from Health Canada, provides supportive advice for people wanting an abortion on ways to approach the conversation with their healthcare provider.

The Institute for Human Development, Child, and Youth Health (IHDCYH) Talks prize is an annual competition highlighting knowledge mobilization that improves research impact in the areas of human development, child, and youth health. First, second, and third prizes are awarded in 3 categories: Video, Infographic, and Podcast. The top prize is $3500.

Though the competition is peer-reviewed, public votes count for 10% of the submission’s final score. Voting is open until November 30, 2025. View the full list of submissions on the CIHR website and cast your vote via the link below.
