Congratulations to Dr. Wendy Norman and UBC CART-GRAC – Women's Health Research Institute

Congratulations to Dr. Wendy Norman and the UBC Contraception and Abortion Research Team — Groupe de recherche sur l’avortement et la contraception (CART-GRAC) who were recently awarded funding through the Government of Canada Sexual and Reproductive Health Fund.

Dr. Norman was invited to Montreal for a press conference on Monday, September 29th, where recipients were announced, and where she met with the Honourable Marjorie Michel, federal Minister of Health. She has also been invited to Ottawa later in October to meet with the Minister’s team.

Dr. Norman’s team received funding for the CART Access project: Advancing access to abortion for under-served populations through tools for healthcare professionals and people seeking care. As we gather in spaces together, we encourage you to reflect on your positionality on these lands and your personal commitments to reconciliation.
