On May 2nd, 2024, the joint Digital Health Research Program at BCCHR and WHRI co-hosted a Digital Health Spring Social Event at UBC Robson Square with entrepreneurship@UBC (e@UBC). This event brought together over 60 participants from all different institutions, including C&W, UBC, BCIT, PHSA, industry partners, and more! With a buzzing atmosphere and a room filled with industry leaders, researchers, clinicians, and digital health leaders, our social event was a true celebration of digital innovation and collaboration aimed at improving health services for women, children, and families in BC!
Together, we witnessed insightful presentations from 6 amazing speakers:
1. Jonathon Jafari – Introduction to entrepreneurship@UBC
2. Dr. Lori Brotto – Learn about eSense: a usable, feasible, and effective digital health tool for women’s sexual health
3. Dr. Patricia Janssen – SmartParent -Teaching by texting to promote healthy behaviours in pregnancy
