Sonia Shirin
Biography:
Sonia Shirin is a researcher (volunteer) for CeMCOR in the field of clinical research. She is a physician and has over 10 years of solid job experience in medical health care. Sonia has a unique combination of experience in practicing clinical medicine (treating patients) along with extensive knowledge base and experience in the public health sector. Sonia was an associate professor of community medicine while she teaches undergrad medical students. Besides her teaching experience, she also supervised students’ research projects and supervised statistical & research support workers. She is efficient in both quantitative and qualitative analysis. She is also experienced in the development of the evidence-based clinical guideline for patient management and systematic evidence synthesis and meta-analysis. She is experienced in editing articles of journal and review protocols. Sonia has published numerous articles in national and international journals. Recently, she has completed MHSc (Master of Health Science) degree from School of Population and Public, under the faculty of medicine of University of British Columbia and is a recipient of Medicine Graduate Award for 2015 of University of British Columbia, Canada.
