Janice Kwon
Biography:
Dr. Janice Kwon is a Professor at the University of British Columbia, and Gynecologic Oncologist at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer. She completed her Gynecologic Oncology training at the University of Toronto, Masters degree in Public Health at Harvard, and post-doctorate at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is the Surgical Tumour Group Chair for Gynecology at BC Cancer, Chair of the Research and Outcomes Evaluation Committee for the BC Cancer Surgery Network, and Chair of the National BRCA Collaborative in Canada. Her academic interests include economic analyses, gynecologic cancer prevention, treatment de-escalation and survivorship strategies, and hereditary cancer syndromes. She has been awarded the CREOG Postgraduate Teaching Award, the Mike Turko Surgical Teaching Award, and the UBC Faculty of Medicine Award for Excellence in Clinical and Applied Research. She currently holds a Health Professional Investigator Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.
