Bradi Lorenz
Biography:
I am a PhD student at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus working on the Supporting Survivors of Abuse and Brain Injury through Research (SOAR) Project. I received my BSc (Hons.) in Physiology from the University of Alberta followed by a MSc in Exercise Sciences from the University of Toronto.
My research looks at changes in neuroendocrine hormones following brain injury. In my MSc, this was focused on a student-athlete population and how changes in progesterone and the menstrual cycle had effects on concussion outcomes in female athletes. I’m looking forwards to continuing this work at UBCO and the SOAR Project to investigate other neuroendocrine changes in a population of survivors of intimate partner violence.
