Biography:

 

Alison completed her Honours Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Biomedical Engineering with a Computing option from the University of Waterloo. She is currently a MSc student in the UBC Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences program, conducting endometriosis research on predicting pain outcomes after surgery using machine learning and investigating underlying pain mechanisms related to central sensitization. Her experience working at a women’s health start-up inspired her to pursue graduate studies in the field. Her broad research interests include endometriosis, pelvic pain, women’s health technologies, and digital health
