Biography:

I am an graduate researcher in the Laksman Lab at the Centre for Heart & Lung Innovation, where I study peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM), a rare and potentially life-threatening form of heart failure that occurs during pregnancy or shortly after delivery. My research focuses on understanding the genetic and environmental factors that contribute to PPCM and using patient-derived stem cell models for disease modelling. I am passionate about advancing research in women’s cardiovascular health and developing more physiologically relevant models of disease.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and exploring the mountains around British Columbia. I also enjoy camping, fishing, reading, and staying active.
