Biography:

 

Dr. Kevin Smith is a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Douglas College, where he leads an independent research program in behavioural neuroendocrinology. He completed his PhD at the University of Ottawa, and his early work examined sex differences in stress reactivity and in the hormonal mechanisms underlying behaviour. His current program investigates hormone fluctuations and their interactions with brain and behaviour. He is particularly interested in how hormonal change shapes symptom expression in mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and ADHD, conditions in which patient-reported cycle-related symptom variability has long outpaced the available evidence base.
