Bell, Katherine
Biography:
Katherine Bell (she/her) is a community based family physician whose research interests are intimate partner violence, physician wellness, food security and research capacity of rural communities and clinicians. She is a UBC Rural Scholar (2024-2026) and the Scholarship Lead for the UBC Family Medicine Residency program, Quw’utsun (Cowichan) site . Her current work includes a qualitative study about the experiences of Canadian physicians with intimate partner violence in their own lives (recruitment ongoing, June 2026) which is funded by the Rural Co-ordination Centre of British Columbia. Dr. Bell’s clinical interests are family medicine, palliative care, oncology and child and youth health. Dr. Bell welcomes opportunities for collaboration and is also available for speaking opportunities on intimate partner violence, physician leadership, and research in rural areas.
