Biography:

 

Amir is a PhD student in the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). With a background in pathology, biomedical engineering, and business administration. His research focuses on developing wearable clinical technologies, designing customized cranio-maxillofacial implants, and advancing medical applications of 3D printing. He is currently leading the development of a wearable device capable of delivering clinical-grade ECG monitoring with real-time haptic feedback, as well as contributing to clinical trials validating an optical sensor for monitoring Free Tissue Transfer (FTT) hemodynamics.

Working under the supervision of Dr. John Madden at the Molecular Mechatronics Lab, Amir is dedicated to developing technologies that combine engineering precision with clinical impact, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes.
