Biography:

I am a graduates student at the University of British Columbia conducting research in ovarian cancer biology. My work focuses on identifying novel therapeutic strategies for SWI/SNF-mutant gynecologic cancers, particularly small cell carcinoma of the ovary, hypercalcemic type (SCCOHT), a rare and aggressive ovarian cancer that primarily affects young women. My research explores how metabolic vulnerabilities can be targeted to improve treatment responses in these cancers. I have the experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques including cell culture, RNA sequencing analysis, CRISPR-based approaches and drug sensitivity assays. I am passionate about translational cancer research and improving outcomes for women affected by difficult-to-treat gynecologic cancers.

Research areas of interest:

Ovarian cancers, endometrial cancers, metabolism
