Biography:

 

Jennifer is a PhD student in the Cell and Developmental Biology Program at UBC under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Rideout. She completed her B.Sc. (Combined Honours) at the University of British Columbia and the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Biochemistry and Forensic Science. Her current research focuses on advancing knowledge of female physiology and metabolism by elucidating how a group of neurosecretory cells work in female Drosophila (fruit flies). Jennifer is also passionate about teaching and advocacy and is involved in several committees, including serving on the executive team of her graduate student society (CPhyGS).
