Biography:

Layan El Rifai is a Master’s student in Human Nutrition at the University of British Columbia and a researcher in the Elango Lab at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. She has a background in research and clinical nutrition, with experience working with patients with metabolic and chronic diseases. Her research focuses on amino acid requirements during pregnancy and their role in supporting maternal health and fetal development.
