Biography:

 

Emily is a graduate student currently supervised by Dr. Nicole Templeman at the University of Victoria. Her research aims to investigate the role of endogenous insulin levels on the onset and progression of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) using a prenatal androgenized mouse model. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Emily graduated from the University of Victoria with a degree in Microbiology where she completed multiple co-op terms. During these co-op terms she contributed to projects surrounding protein-protein interactions in the brain, female reproductive aging and insulins impact on PCOS.
