Biography:

Fatima is a Masters student at UBC’s Pathology and Lab Medicine program supervised by Dr. Melanie Murray and Dr. Helene Cote.

She received her BSc from SFU with a major in molecular biology, biochemistry and chemistry. She has two years of clinical and research experience at the BC-Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDs. Her current research focus is on aging for women living with HIV. She will compare aging biomarkers, hormone levels and inflammatory markers of women living with HIV to women without HIV.
