Biography:

 

Noah is a graduate student at the University of British Columbia’s School of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on manufacturing of implantable materials for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Together with a team of graduate students and an OB/GYN, he has also co-developed a surgical training model of the postpartum lower pelvis in order to train healthcare providers in lifesaving gynecologic surgeries addressing postpartum hemorrhage. His work has extended beyond the lab, contributing to the implementation of these models in surgical training programs across urban/rural Canada and in low- and middle-income countries such as Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, and South Sudan.
