Biography:

I am a Registered Dietitian interested in maternal nutrition, pregnancy, and micronutrients. I have worked as a dietitian in both research and clinical settings in Ontario (The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto) and British Columbia (Island Health, Victoria). Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Human Nutrition at the University of British Columbia, where my research examines how two different forms of folate supplementation—natural folate or synthetic folic acid—taken during the preconception period influence folate status and related nutritional biomarkers during pregnancy.
