Biography:

 

Jen Burrell is a Master’s Student under the supervision of Dr. Kalina Christoff Hadjiilieva in the psychology department at UBC. Jen completed her BSc at the University of Alberta, with a specialization in Psychological Research, in 2021. As an undergraduate, Jen researched a novel approach to diagnosing stroke using mobile electroencephalography (EEG), in hopes of generating more efficient and accurate tools for pre-hospital diagnosis of stroke. Currently, Jen is investigating how psychoactive substances, specifically cannabis, alters the way we think. For her PhD work, Jen will investigate how thought and its neurodynamics change across the menstrual cycle.
