LE TAM NHAN NGUYEN
Biography:
My name is Le Tam Nhan (Julian) Nguyen, and I recently completed my PhD in Zoology in April 2023, specializing in the functional characterization of the nuclear localization signals of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein.
I am passionate about researching host-pathogen interactions and vaccine development, and I have been actively seeking opportunities in virology and vaccine development post-graduation. Unfortunately, it seems that such opportunities are somewhat limited around UBC and within the industry. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Christopher Maxwell’s lab, where I focus on characterizing the functional contribution of BRCA1 in lactation and the increased cancer risk in pregnant women with BRCA1 mutations.
