Wong, Jeffrey
Biography:
Dr. Jeffrey Wong (he/him) is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia. He completed his BHSc at McMaster University, MD at the University of Toronto, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology residency, Reproductive Infectious Diseases fellowship, and a CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network postdoctoral fellowship at UBC. He is a certified HIV Specialist™ (AAHIVS) and has received multiple competitive awards including the Allen-Carey Scholarship in Women’s Health, the Dawn Walker Grant, and the WHRI Catalyst Grant. His research has been recognized by the JAMMI Trainee Published Manuscript Award and the Juan A. Embil Trainee Award for Excellence in Infectious Diseases Research. His academic interests include improving perinatal care in patients living with HIV, increasing the uptake of immunizations in pregnancy, addressing congenital syphilis, and improving global obstetrical care and medical education
