Biography:

Allison is currently completing her Ph.D. working under the co-supervision of Dr. Anita Cote (TWU) and Dr. Victoria Claydon (SFU). Allison completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Maryland and Master of Science in Kinesiology majoring in Exercise Physiology at Indiana University.
As a former athlete, Allison has a passion for making sport more open and accessible for everyone. This combined with her educational background has led to her current research focus of the cardiac performance of female athletes. By investigating how the female athlete’s heart is affected by the phase of the menstrual cycle and use of hormonal contraceptives, Allison hopes to help athletes make informed decisions on their reproductive health and sport performance.
