Bianca Ribeiro de Souza
Biography:
Dr. Bianca Ribeiro de Souza is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology | Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OVCARE), Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her research is focused on Gynecological Cancers, Immunology, and Biomarker Discovery. Dr. Ribeiro is mainly researching the least studied and understood form of ovarian cancer – Endometroid Ovarian Carcinoma. She is working on prognostic molecular classification to improve clinical decision-making for this form of ovarian cancer as well as seeking potentially targetable biomarkers for new precision therapy strategies. Dr. Ribeiro holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Morphofunctional Biology from the Institute of Biology of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, and a Master’s degree in Biosciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil. She also holds a Bachelor’s and Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil.
