Jayson Potts
Biography:
Jayson is an Obstetric Medicine Physician at BC Women’s hospital and a General Internist. He has completed fellowships in Obstetric Medicine at National Women’s Hospital in New Zealand and St. Thomas Hospital, London, England. He obtained his MD at Queen’s and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at McMaster. Prior to clinical medicine he was a professional engineer with an expertise in computational mechanics. He continues to be interested in engineering projects within medicine and has recently published on a computational approach to cyclic thrombocytopenia. Jayson’s interests include simulation in obstetrics and this year he was a co-instructor teaching debriefing for the Harvard’s Center for Medical Simulation. He is the internal medicine representative for Perinatal Services BC and is an executive member on the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine. Last year he was co-author on publications that focussed on Advanced Maternal Age, Obesity in Pregnancy and Stroke in Pregnancy.
