Dr. Neeraj Mehra
Biography:
Dr. Neeraj Mehra completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Queen’s University in 2010. This was followed by a one-year fellowship in advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) in Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, with a focus on difficult laparoscopic cases including large fibroid uteri and severe endometriosis. He then finished a second fellowship in Simulation and Medical Education through the Academy of Innovation and Medical Education (AIME) also at the University of Ottawa. Dr Mehra is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of British Columbia. His clinical practice is focused primarily on MIS cases in gynecology including advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and is a leader in MIS gynecologic education in BC for both residents and clinical faculty. He is also actively involved in obstetrical simulation at BC Women’s Hospital where he serves as the Medical Director for Simulation. His academic interests included a wide range of educational and research activities related to obstetrical simulation, surgical education, and patient safety.
