Biography:

: Elizabeth King received her BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Northern British Columbia, followed by her MD at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She went on to gain specialty training in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at UBC. Her research and clinical interests are to better understand the implications of HIV on women’s reproductive health. For her postdoctoral fellowship, she is exploring the menopause experience in women living with HIV across Canada with supervisors Drs. Melanie Murray (Women’s Health Research Institute, Vancouver) and Mona Loutfy (Women’s College Research Institute, Toronto). Her research is supported by funding from Michael Smith Foundation of Health Research, CIHR Women’s Health and Mentorship grant, UBC Clinician Investigator Program and the Mark Wainberg CTN scholarship.
