Madison Bittner
Biography:
I am a masters student in the Reproductive and Developmental Science program at UBC, I joined the program in May 2020. I am originally from Calgary, Alberta and completed my bachelors of science in biochemistry at the University of Victoria. My research interests include women’s cancer, specifically hormone receptor positive breast and ovarian cancer. I hope during my time as a masters student I can play a role in improving outcomes for the women that are diagnosed with these cancers. I am working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Carey and our lab’s focus is on rare gynecologic cancers, specifically low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC). I am very interested in this area of research as these cancers are often under researched and are correlated with poor outcomes.
