Biography:
Kate McBride, RN, MSN (she/her) – Brief Bio
Kate works at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre as Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Sexual Health Rehab Service. Kate has over 30 years experience in health care, including clinical care, education, research, and program and policy development.
Kate’s clinical background is neuro-medicine and rehabilitation nursing. She is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia and a former President of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. Highlights of her career include leading a collaborative initiative to improve perinatal care for women with SCI and managing the project to develop provincial guidelines for sexuality and intimacy in care facilities in BC.
