WHRI member, Dr. K.S. Joseph, is featured in articles in CTV News, and Science Daily. Research led by Dr. Joseph is the first study in Canada looking at pregnancy outcomes in reduced multi-fetal pregnancies resulting from fertility treatment. Joseph links fetal reduction in multi-fetal pregnancies with better birth outcomes, suggesting the selective reduction technique is effective.
Dr. Paul Yong and colleagues were featured in an article by the Vancouver Sun for their recent findings regarding endometriosis after discovering gene mutations in the pelvic lesions of women with endometriosis which are similar to those found in cancerous tissue.
The findings of this study were published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Lori Brotto was featured in an article by CBC news for her presentation at the recent Sexual Health 2017 Conference. Dr. Brotto spoke about the key research findings in sexuality over the last year and offered doctors skills for treating and talking about sexual health issues with their patients.
