Biography:
Dr. Jennifer Leavitt is a practicing family physician in Vancouver, BC. Her clinical work involves a longitudinal family practice at Pender Community Health Centre, serving the population of the Downtown Eastside, including care for patients with substance use disorders and other mental and physical health challenges. As well, she is one of the lead physicians at the St. Paul’s Maternity Clinic and provides prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care at St. Paul’s Hospital. Her research work is interested in how we screen and refer for unmet social needs in pregnancy and she completed a Clinician Scholar Program through the Department of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia
